The theming at Animal Kingdom Kidani Village is some of the best in the Disney Vacation Club network. If you’re a point pincher, make the most of your DVC points, and book a standard view studio at the 11-month mark. For many AKV Kidani Village lovers, there’s nothing better than booking that savanna view. You can sit on your balcony sipping coffee and taking in the view of an actual giraffe or zebra.

The studio rooms at AKV Kidani Village offer you a conventional DVC studio room with a queen bed and a sofa bed. The 1-bedroom DVC room is very spacious and sleeps 5 comfortably – offering a king bed, a sofa bed, and a sleeper chair.  And it has the unusual perk of an extra bathroom that’s exterior to the bedroom. If you’re sharing your DVC room with others, not having to pass through the master bedroom to get to the bathroom is a rare treat. There are both dedicated and lock-off 2-bedroom DVC rooms at AKV Kidani Village which sleep 9 and they also include the extra bathroom. AKV Kidani Village Grand Villa is two floors and just a double stacked 2 BR.

You can stretch your Disney Vacation Club points at Animal Kingdom Kidani Village by booking a standard view room as low as 10 points per night. These are on par with the lowest point cost rooms in WDW.  They’re within a point here and there for the point costs at OKW or SSR Standard.  If pinching points isn’t your thing – you can splurge on AKV Kidani Village Savannah rooms.  They are near the top of the WDW points costs – with Poly, VGF Lake and DRR Preferred being more points.

For room request tips – keep in mind Kidani Village is large!  There are four main sections: Pumba, Rafiki, Timone, and Zazu. A 5th elevator comes from the parking deck to an area outside the lobby. Decide what is important to you when booking your room.  Want to be near the animals? Request a low floor. Near a pool? Request Rafiki. Near Jambo? Request Zazu. Near the bus stop or Community Hall? Request Timone.

Most of the parking is on the ground floor, under the rooms – which is very nice as your car will be out of the sun and covered from the rain.  Shade is a beautiful thing in Florida!  There are two savannah views – Sunset Savannah and Pembe Savannah.  We prefer the Sunset Savannah over the Pembe Savannah as the Pembe Savannah is fenced into two areas with Okapi and Zebras.  The Sunset Savannah has giraffes.

Whatever you want out of your Disney Vacation Club vacation, you can’t really go wrong with Animal Kingdom Kidani Village! To learn more about Animal Kingdom Kidani Village Disney Vacation Club rooms, visit our myDVCPoints wiki.
