Micah Wyss is the creator of MousePerks.com, a website that pulls together the discounts for Tables in Wonderland, DVC Members, Annual Passholders, and Disney Visa cardholders! As a value-minded person, he has become quite the savvy DVC member himself, maximizing his membership through split stays and leveraging DVC Membership Extras.
This episode leads our Disney’s Riviera Resort review mini-series. The Riviera Resort is one of the most controversial resorts in Disney history due to the new resale restrictions implemented with this resort. Long-time DVC members and fans of resale are concerned that the resale restrictions will significantly impact the market value of Riviera contracts. Consequently, a lot of members see Riviera as a very poor value proposition. In today’s episode, we meet Micah Wyss, the founder of MousePerks.com, which is arguably the most value-driven content created by a Disney fan. Micah explains his rationale behind purchasing Riviera. We will hear from more Riviera owners in the series and end with a Riviera review episode.
Part of the Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort series, we’re heading over to Senses Spa. On today’s episode, Chad is joined by his wife Laura, Chris Salata (Episode 015), and Ella Porter (Episode 016), to discuss their experiences with the Senses Spas at Walt Disney World. In E015, Chris had challenged Chad to try a spa experience while on vacation, assuring that his “man card” would not be revoked. We discuss Disney spa services with more emphasis on Senses Spa at Saratoga Springs.
Meet Brad Coates from the DVC Round Table at the Resort Loop Podcast and former co-host of DisDads. Tim from Resort Loop recruited Brad to join Resort Loop for an episode on DVC and he’s been a regular on the monthly DVC Round Table for years now. The original round table show was a mixture of owners, renters, and prospective members in the Resort Loop community. At the time, this was probably the only people creating content in the DVC community.
Aaron DelPrince is not only a DVC Member but also the founder of Magical Wishes for Kids. The Indianapolis Disney meet is a fan gathering of theme park fans from across the midwest. MWFK.org does numerous fundraisers each year to raise money to support Give Kids the World in Kissimmee, Florida. When Make-A-Wish and over 150 other charities send a critically ill child to Disney, Give Kids the World Village hosts the families and coordinates the logistics of that event. Magical Wishes for Kids’ largest event is the “Disney Indy Meet,” and it’s a meetup for Disney fans from all across the mid-west. Admission is free and includes food, entertainment and discussion break out rooms.
We pick up the conversation from episode 030 where Chris, Jeremy, and Adam present their armchair Imagineering resorts. We cover three areas in this show: Room Design and Layout, Transportation Options and Resort Activities
