Aaron DelPrince is not only a DVC Member but also the founder of Magical Wishes for Kids. The Indianapolis Disney meet is a fan gathering of theme park fans from across the midwest. MWFK.org does numerous fundraisers each year to raise money to support Give Kids the World in Kissimmee, Florida. When Make-A-Wish and over 150 other charities send a critically ill child to Disney, Give Kids the World Village hosts the families and coordinates the logistics of that event. Magical Wishes for Kids’ largest event is the “Disney Indy Meet,” and it’s a meetup for Disney fans from all across the mid-west. Admission is free and includes food, entertainment and discussion break out rooms.
We pick up the conversation from episode 030 where Chris, Jeremy, and Adam present their armchair Imagineering resorts. We cover three areas in this show: Room Design and Layout, Transportation Options and Resort Activities
Does Disney inspire your inner creative? As DVC members, we love our resorts and have often dreamed about building a new resort. In episode 030 and episode 031, we give members the opportunity to share their creativity as they dream up new resort ideas on our armchair Imagineering competition. After listening to the episodes please vote for your favorite resort! The winner will advance to a celebrity round with former Disney Imagineer McNair Wilson. Who will win episode 030 and episode 031? Will the Haunted Mansion inspired resort edge out the Villain’s Getaway? Will the listeners prefer the luxury of the Skyline Resort and Spa?
“Hey, my DVC sisters and brothers!” If you’re a member of any of the DVC Facebook groups, that’s all the introduction you need to realize our guest for this episode is none other than Mr. Kevin McCloud. I consider Kevin “The Happiest DVC member on Facebook!” Kevin has the gift of packing pixie dust into pixels and filling our Facebook streams with pure joy. I find it ironic that Kevin shares a last name with the author of “Have You Filled a Bucket Today? A Guide to Daily Happiness for Kids.” Just like the posts, Kevin brings happiness and joy to episode 028 and its sure to fill your bucket!
Andrew joined Disney Vacation Club in 2008 by purchasing at Animal Kingdom Villas. Shortly after buying in addonitis kicked in and the Darden family purchased a second contract from the resale market at Old Key West. Later on Disney cruises, he added on at Boulder Ridge and Copper Creek Cabins and Villas. Andrew discusses problems with multiple DVC Use Years and his “leap-frogging” solution and two vacations that are on most members bucket lists: Cascade Cabins at Copper Creek and 14 days at Aualani.
The only interview I’ve done where the DVC members did NOT say, “I wish I had bought in sooner.” Meet original owners at the first DVC resort who bought in during construction phases of the resort.
