Mike Bascom and Michael Brzostek are newer to the DVC family but enjoy their contracts to the fullest! They were even able to recently treat Mike's mom to a five-night trip in the Kidani Grand Villa. The guys share their magical moments with Chad in this member experience episode. Episode 186
Mike and Michael have different Disney origin stories. Mike often went on family trips with his aunt and his mom as a child. He has special memories of seeing Spaceship Earth for the first time when he was a young child. Michael wasn't able to go to Disney as a child because it wasn't in his family's budget. He ordered the promotion DVD from Disney and would watch it repeatedly, dreaming of a trip to Disney someday.
In 2018, Mike and Michael took their first trip to Disney as a couple, Michael's first visit. After a couple of visits with DVC guides, renting some points at Bay Lake Tower, and some additional research, they became members in 2019 with a 75 point contract at Copper Creek. Add-on-itis quickly hit, and they bought some resale points at Animal Kingdom Lodge. After staying at Beach Club and falling in love with the pool area and proximity to the parks, they also picked up a small resale contract at Beach Club.
The guys share about a surprise trip to Riveria for Michael's birthday, which made them want to purchase some Riviera points, so they are considering a contract there as well. Mike is a huge fan of Grand Floridian, so that resort is also being considered for their next purchase.
Mike and Michael have stayed at most of the Disney World DVC resorts, except for Boulder Ridge, Copper Creek, Old Key West, and Saratoga Springs. One of their most special moments was the ability to treat Mike's mom to 5 nights in a grand villa at Kidani to celebrate her retirement.
