For September 2022, we saw prices stabilize and slightly increase for most resorts. Grand Californian is still on a decline and Chad anticipates further declines as Disneyland Tower points go on sale. https://www.dvcresalemarket.com/blog/dvc-resale-average-sales-prices-for-september-2022/
In terms of ROFR, Disney took their focus off Saratoga Springs and Animal Kingdom and focused more on Bay Lake Tower. Numerous resorts saw points bought back at prices higher than the average sales price. This defies all logic of bid high to avoid the ROFR monster. We don't know if Disney is buying back smaller contracts to encourage more people to buy small add-on contracts directly from Disney. There doesn't seem to be any logic behind what they're buying back and nor the prices. Thus far they have not bought back any Rivieria or Aulani as they're both actively marketed properties and Disney has enough inventory of those resorts to sell that have never been sold.
If you're thinking of selling DVC, now would be a great time to list your contract. Once the dues statement comes out, members start re-evaluating their relationship with Disney and quite a few people decide to sell their contracts. Historically Disney prices have risen at about twice the rate or normal inflation. Chad is anticipating a 10% increase in dues for 2023.
