Breaking news about the DVC tower opening up at Disneyland Hotel. Samantha and Chad called member services and learned quite a bit. Episode 140 is a quick recap.

There are three views in this resort:
- Garden View – the most expensive view. We're told it has a balcony, whereas other than Grand Villas, nothing else has one.
- Preferred View
- Standard View
The proper choice at the member services main menu is option 2 for cash booking. If you choose Option 1, it's to use points at a DVC resort.
Chad rope dropped Member Services by doing advance calling to learn how to zip through the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) menus. We also used a buddy system so that if one of us got to an agent, we could conference with our buddy so that we both get to book the rooms we wanted. You may want to do this for any special occasions you need to call DVC member services, such as new member cruises.
The Grand Villa is bookable; however, as the first caller entered the queue, it was unavailable. We're speculating that DVC executives are using the grand villas.
The opening night price on a two-bedroom villa was $2387.97. The standard studio was $870 a night. We saw that the two-person pod rooms varied from $655 to $551, and our live show producer booked a night in October for $370 a night.
