Jodi Gross from DVC Resale Market joins the show to discuss our quarterly recap of resale prices, inventory, and the Right of First Refusal. While the overall market is slightly down from when it peaked in November 2021 to February 2022, month over month, the unweighted prices were up $8 across all the resorts. If the market is cooling down, it’s not by much as prices are relatively stable and steady. Episode 216

Prices have started to soften and motivated sellers are starting to pay for closing costs. Disney bought back significantly fewer contracts in April than in previous months. Inventory dropped slightly from last month’s recording time. All of this has us keeping an eye on the market as we start to see a shift towards becoming a buyer’s market. Episode 204

Jodi Gross joins the show to discuss July 2021 average sales prices, inventory, and Disney buybacks of DVC contracts via their right of first refusal. The market’s inventory stayed relatively consistent – buyers and sellers were joining the market at an even pace. The price increases we saw earlier this year generally stayed the same, with a few resorts moving slightly. It’s hard to overlook the number of reduced contracts on the market when you scan over the listings. Jodi believes sellers may have been a bit ambitious in their asking price and have started to decrease prices. Old Key West and Saratoga dominated Disney’s buybacks. Copper Creek was also repurchased for the third consecutive month in a row.
